"Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more." – Oprah Winfrey.
It’s one of those slow news days around town. Nothing pressing, nothing breaking, just a calm stretch as we get closer to Christmas. With the holiday only a week away, most folks are focused on wrapping things up, finishing shopping, making their holiday plans, and getting ready to spend time with family and friends.
December isn’t feeling much like December either. The weather over the next few days is going to feel more like spring, with warmer temperatures that make it easy to get outside, run errands, or just enjoy a break from the cold. It’s a strange but welcome change this close to the holidays.
We’ll be here if anything pops up, but for now, it’s a quiet moment in the community. Sometimes that’s not a bad thing. Enjoy the slower pace, enjoy the warm weather, and take a breath as Christmas gets closer.
Looks like it's going to warm up a bit on Thursday but dropping back down to the 30's for the weekend.
