Lebanon is gearing up for a weekend of high-energy racing, spectacular fireworks and live music to celebrate Independence Day. From family-friendly fireworks shows to heart-pounding stock car action and ’90s grunge anthems, there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re laying out a blanket by the pond, revving your engine under the grandstands or singing along downtown, Lebanon has you covered. Here’s a quick guide to all the must-see events.

1. FIRST FRIDAY CONCERT SERIES – Love Buzz: A Tribute to Nirvana- Free 

• Time: 7 PM–9 PM on Friday, July 4
• Location: Pocket Park, Madison Street, Downtown Lebanon
• What to expect: Members of The Mixtapes delivering all your favorite ’90s grunge hits; bring lawn chairs and gather your friends for an intimate outdoor concert; free to attend thanks to Crossfit610 and Stanley’s Pharmacy.

2. South 5 Fireworks Frenzy- Free 

• Time: 7 PM–10 PM on Thursday, July 3
• Location: White Oak Pond, 16551 South Highway 5, Lebanon, MO 65536
• What to expect: Gates open at 7 PM; bring your own lawn chairs; live music by local artists; Alpine Shave Ice for purchase; complimentary hot dogs, popcorn, popsicles and water; bounce houses, 9 Square, corn hole and outdoor games; spectacular fireworks display to close the night.

3. Fireworks Spectacular at Midway Speedway- Paid Admission 

• Date: Friday, July 4
• Time: Gates open at 5 PM; drivers meet at 6:45 PM; hot laps at 7:05 PM; racing (with fireworks) starts at 8 PM
• Location: Midway Speedway, 22301 Highway B, Lebanon, MO
• What to expect: Round 13 of the Championship Chase featuring B-Mods, Super Stocks, MW-Mods, Pure Stocks and Hornets; fireworks lighting up the sky over the track; grandstand and pit passes available.

4. 2025 Laclede County Fair- Free 

• Date: July 5, 2025
• Location: Lebanon Fairgrounds – Cowan Civic Center
• Event: 9:30 PM – Community Firework Celebration & Kickoff to the Fair
