Suspect Arrested in Shooting Death of Reagan Wilson

Posted on 08/01/2025

LEBANON, Mo. — After nearly two months of investigation, authorities have arrested 23-year-old Sidney Fredrick Wilson V in connection with the June 5 shooting death of 21-year-old Reagan Lynn Wilson and the subsequent death of her newborn son, Silas Quinn Wilson.

The arrest occurred Thursday evening, July 31, in Nixa, Missouri, through a multi-agency operation led by the Lebanon Police Department, with support from the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control, U.S. Marshals, Greene and Christian County Sheriff’s Offices, and Operation Relentless Pursuit.

Wilson, Reagan’s estranged husband, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and armed criminal action. He is being held without bond at the Laclede County Jail.

Officers responded to the couple’s home in the 700 block of North Adams Avenue at 11:37 p.m. on June 5. Reagan was found with multiple gunshot wounds and later pronounced dead at a local hospital. Silas, delivered by emergency C-section, died after eight days in neonatal care.

“Our entire team mourns the loss of this young mother and child,” said Lebanon Police Chief Jerry Harrison. “We are disgusted by this loss of life and will relentlessly pursue justice for Reagan and her child.”

Authorities say Reagan and Sidney were legally married but separated at the time. Missouri law allows judges to delay divorce finalization during pregnancy, which critics argue can leave victims of abuse in danger.

Public-Health Statistics

According to CDC data, nearly half of pregnancy-related homicides involve a current or former intimate partner. A recent study found 40 percent of known pregnancy-associated homicides are related to intimate partner violence.

About Reagan

A funeral for Reagan was held June 13, drawing over 2,000 mourners. Reagan Wilson was born in 2003 and raised in Lebanon. She graduated early from Lebanon High School, earned CNA and Med Tech certifications, and planned to become a registered nurse. She was known for her empathy, spontaneous spirit, and strong faith.

Legal Context

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reminds the public that charges are accusations, and all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Investigation Status

Wilson was booked into the Laclede County Jail on July 31. An arraignment is expected mid-August. Lebanon Police say prosecutors have what they need but continue reviewing evidence and following leads.
