On this episode of Girl Power, we sat down with Courtney and Krystal, the women behind Book Burrow, for a conversation that was equal parts funny, honest, and inspiring.

What started as a friendship built through hair school, coffee, books, and a shared love of Harry Potter eventually turned into a business partnership that has become something special in downtown Lebanon. The two talked about their very different upbringings, the way their personalities balance each other out, and how that contrast has helped them build both a lasting friendship and successful businesses together.
They also opened up about the harder parts of life, including postpartum struggles, divorce, burnout, and the emotional weight that can come with constantly taking care of everyone else. For both women, there came a point where they knew something had to change. That change eventually became Book Burrow, a cozy, personality-filled bookstore that reflects exactly who they are. What began as a dream turned into a reality faster than they expected, and the response from the community has been bigger than either of them imagined.
More than anything, this episode shows why Courtney and Crystal connect with so many people. They are real, unapologetic, and deeply rooted in who they are. Their story is about trusting your gut, finding your people, and building something that feels true to your life instead of trying to fit someone else’s idea of success. Book Burrow may be known for books, but as they shared in this episode, it has also become a place for connection, comfort, laughter, and community.
