In this episode of Girl Power, Abbey Hoskins sits down with April True, a longtime Lebanon business owner and entrepreneur who has built much of her life around faith, family, and serving her community. April owns True Wellness and True Swing Golf in downtown Lebanon, while she and her husband Danny also manage several rental and commercial properties alongside Danny’s construction business.

April shares how growing up on a dairy farm near Conway shaped her strong work ethic and taught her to tackle challenges head-on. After marrying young and raising two sons, she later worked at Copeland and as an academically at-risk kindergarten paraprofessional before a serious health crisis changed the course of her life.

For more than six years, April searched for answers through traditional medical care as her condition worsened. Eventually she began exploring holistic approaches, which led her to kinesiology and ultimately inspired her to open True Wellness. What began as her personal journey toward healing has grown into a collaborative wellness space in downtown Lebanon with a team of practitioners helping people of all ages.

April says the most meaningful part of her work today is seeing people find relief and hope when they walk through the door. Her advice to younger women is simple: stay true to who you are, keep learning, and surround yourself with people who lift you up.
