Lebanon Now Weather Alert
Severe weather is expected across the Lebanon area today and again later this week, and local emergency officials are asking residents to stay weather aware.
In this update, Mike Stanicek with the Laclede County Office of Emergency Management explains what residents should expect as several rounds of storms move through the region.
The first round of thunderstorms is expected today, with storms potentially becoming strong to severe this afternoon and evening. The primary risks include damaging wind gusts and large hail, with quarter-sized hail already being reported in parts of southwest Missouri.
Heavy rainfall is also a concern. Multiple rounds of storms through next week could bring several inches of rain to the region, increasing the risk for localized flooding as soils become saturated.
