Coming to you from the Hughes Center coffee shop, thanks to Garner & Smith Insurance and Phoenix Home Care & Hospice. We're so thankful for our generous sponsors. Lots to talk about this up and coming week but first, last week was incredible! Monte Luke was here for the monthly birthday lunch and we had 136 people show up! The Olympic Games keep on going and next we're planning for St Patrick's Day!
The Hughes Center is also doing a Pie in the Face fundraiser! Whoever gets the most money in their box will get a pie in the face! COME IN AND VOTE!
Here is what is happening this week:
Monday
Events: Quilting at 9am. Olympic Game Duct Tape Tic Tac Toe at 12pm.
Lunch: Salisbury steak, baked potato, peas and carrots, roll, and fruit.
Tuesday
Events: Mah Jong at 9am. Bingo at 12pm.
Lunch: Tuna salad, chips, sliced tomatoes, salad bar, and fruit.
Wednesday
Events: Exercise at 10am. Bible Study at 10:30am. Corn Hole at 12pm.
Lunch: Baked potato, beef chili, crackers or cornbread, cheese, sour cream, onion, salad, peas, and fruit.
Thursday
Events: Mah Jong at 9am. Gospel Sing at 9:45am. Bingo at 12pm.
Lunch: Meat loaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, buttered corn, roll, and fruit.
Friday
Events: Samba at 9am. Music Jam at 11:45am. Friday Night Dance at 7pm.
Lunch: Ham and beans, cornbread, buttered potatoes, pickled beets, and fruit.
Lunch is a $5 suggested donation for those 60 and older and $7 for anyone under 60. The Hughes Senior Center also welcomes volunteers and continues its meal sponsorship program for businesses or individuals who would like to help support meals for seniors.
