LEBANON, MO — Lebanon Police are investigating a shooting that left one person injured Wednesday evening in the 2200 block of Audrey Lane.
Officers were initially dispatched around 6:07 p.m. on May 28 to a report of a wrong-way driver near Mile Marker 128 on I-44. Shortly after, they received a call about a shooting on Audrey Lane and a separate report that a gunshot victim had arrived at Mercy Hospital in Lebanon.
Police say the male victim had driven himself to the hospital after being shot, striking a cable median barrier on I-44 along the way. He received immediate treatment and was later transported by Life Flight to a regional hospital. His condition is currently listed as stable.
Authorities located a vehicle matching the suspect’s description at Gasconade Park. The occupants were detained during the investigation but were released, and no arrests have been made.
Investigators believe the suspect fled the scene using side streets connecting to Ivey, then traveled north on Beck to Commercial, where they were last seen heading west.
The Lebanon Police Department is asking residents and businesses in the area to check surveillance footage from around 6:00 p.m. for a maroon four-door vehicle. Anyone with video or information is urged to contact LPD at 417-532-3131.
LPD reminds the public to call 911 during emergencies rather than attempting to drive themselves to the hospital.
