Holman-Howe Funeral Home and Lebanon Now present The Home: History of the American Hearse.

This episode follows the evolution of the hearse, from hand-drawn carts to electric models to top-of-the-line funeral cars built by coachbuilders. It features a detailed look at a 1956 Eureka Cadillac, the first hearse purchased by the Howe family. The car was restored, rediscovered, and put back into service. It is not a museum piece, but a working part of the funeral home.

With historical context, mechanical insight, and personal family connection, this film captures how one vehicle carries more than just tradition.
