At this week’s Rotary Club meeting at The Wallace Building, Lebanon Now was on site to share the stories of service and community that make Rotary such a valued part of Lebanon
The meeting began with the recognition of Rotarian of the Week, Carrie Plassmeyer.. She’s inspired to be a rotarian because she loves helping to make in impact on our community and teaching her children about giving back. Carrie is also very excited about the Satellite Rotary Club being well received throughout the community.
Downtown director, Sarah Angst and Brian Hash introduced Troy Schulte, Lebanon’s new City Administrator, since April 2025. Troy was inducted into the Rotarian today.
Rotarian Brian Hash introduced the guest speak of the day, Sara Johnson with Sleep in Heavenly Peace. A registered nonprofit organization created to help provide beds to children that are in need. SHP believes that a bed is a basic need for the proper physical, emotional, and mental support that a child needs. They have been a success because ion the passionate volunteers who believe in their mission of getting kids off the floor and into their own bed.
If you’re interested in volunteering please visit shpbeds.org for volunteers or donations. Lebanon will be hosting a Community Build Day on Nov 8, 2025.
