This week’s Pet of the Week is Jenna, a four to five year-old shepherd and cattle dog mix who’s been waiting patiently for her forever home.

Jenna has been at Claws and Paws since June of last year after being abandoned and left running along the road. She found her way back to the shelter, where she’s been safe and cared for ever since. Now, she’s just waiting for someone to give her the home she deserves.

She’s energetic, soft, and loves to play, especially with other dogs who match her high-energy personality. Jenna is affectionate, friendly, and even has a soft spot for pumpkin spice dog treats. She would do best with an active family or owner who can keep up with her playful spirit.

Kelly shared that while the shelter took in several dogs this week, five dogs were adopted just in time for Christmas. Jenna is hoping she’ll be next.

If you’re interested in meeting Jenna, Claws and Paws encourages you to call ahead to make sure she’s available and then stop by for a meet-and-greet. You can even bring your current dog along to see how they get along. The adoption process is simple and typically takes about 20 to 30 minutes.

This Pet of the Week segment is made possible thanks to the support of Shelter Insurance and local agent Kim Breeden, whose sponsorship helps highlight adoptable pets in our community.
